Malali 150MLD Plant Power Restoration

The power supply to the treatment section of the 150 MLD Water Treatment Plant in Malali, Kaduna, has been restored following the damage and blowing of the 11 KV line.

The restoration work carried out by comprehensive energy solutions in a swift effort to ensure the facility returns to normal.

The incident which affected the plant's power supply and disrupted operations, prompted an immediate response from the technical team.Engineers worked diligently to repair the faulty line and restore electricity to the treatment section, helping to stabilize the plant's operations and support continued water treatment activities

The restoration is expected to improve operational continuity at the plant and reduced downtime caused by the outage. The 150 MLD Water Treatment Plant in Malali plays a vital role in supplying treated water to residents of Kaduna and surrounding areas

The prompt restoration of it's power line demonstrated the management's commitment towards maintaining steady water production and distribution.

SURWASH: KADSWAC Conducts Water Quality Test in Unguwan Boro

The Kaduna State Water Corporation (KADSWAC) Quality Control Team, Led by the Acting Director,Mr.Sunday Duniya,has conducted a water quality monitoring exercise at Ungwan Boro as part of the ongoing SURWASH program.

The exercise involved the collection of water samples from selected sources in the community for laboratory analysis to assess their safety and sustainability for human consumption.The monitoring team activity is aimed at ensuring that residents have access to clean and safe water, in line with the objectives of the SURWASH initiative.

The Quality Control exercise is a routine but essential part of the program, designed to detect possible contamination and guide necessary interventions where needed.Regular water testing critical to protecting public health and improving water service delivery across communities.

The corporation remains committed to sustaining water quality standards and strengthening surveillance mechanisms to guarantee safer water for people of Kaduna state.

Community members of Ungwan Boro welcomed the exercise and expressed appreciation for the effort , describing it as a positive step toward improving access to portable water and sanitation .

Shiroro Dam Team Pays Courtesy Visit to KADSWAC to Strengthen Collaboration on Kangimi Dam

A team from Shiroro Dam in Niger State today paid a courtesy visit to the Kaduna State Water Corporation (KADSWAC) as part of efforts to collect relevant technical data on Kangimi Dam.

The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between both institutions and obtaining key technical information to support planning, assessment, and effective water resource management activities related to the dam.

During the visit, the delegation was received by officials of the Corporation. Discussions focused on the importance of accurate and up-to-date data on Kangimi Dam, including its water storage capacity, operational status, inflow and outflow patterns, as well as other relevant engineering and hydrological information. The visiting team emphasized that the data would support professional analysis, informed planning, and improved coordination in the management of water resources and dam infrastructure.

The Kaduna State Water Corporation welcomed the request and expressed its readiness to support the exercise. The Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE), Kaduna State Chapter, paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of the Kaduna State Water Corporation (KADSWAC), Engr. Kabir Ahmed Rufai, to strengthen professional ties and explore areas of mutual interest.

The visit provided an opportunity to appreciate the important role of KADSWAC in water supply and infrastructure development, while also exploring opportunities for collaboration in engineering solutions, service improvement, and sustainable resource management.

Ongoing Rehabilitation of 27 MLD Kaduna South Water Treatment Plant

The Kaduna State Water Corporation (KADSWAC) is currently undertaking repairs and rehabilitation works on the 27 MLD Kaduna South Water Treatment Plant as part of the Kaduna State Government's commitment to revitalizing the water sector and restoring critical infrastructure.

The ongoing works include repairs to the clarifier, filter gallery, and other key water treatment components within the plant. These interventions are aimed at improving the plant's operational efficiency, strengthening its treatment capacity, and supporting reliable water supply to communities within Kaduna South and surrounding areas.

KADSWAC Unveils Customer Service Charter to Strengthen Service Delivery and Customer Satisfaction

The Kaduna State Water Corporation (KADSWAC) successfully held a presentation and sensitization session on its Customer Service Charter at the Corporation's Headquarters on 8 July 2026.

The session brought together Directors, Heads of Departments, members of staff, customers of the Corporation, and community leaders to review the Charter, reaffirming KADSWAC's commitment to delivering efficient, transparent, accountable, and customer-focused water services across Kaduna State.

During the presentation, participants were taken through the key provisions of the Customer Service Charter, including KADSWAC's service standards, customer rights and responsibilities, complaint handling procedures, and the Corporation's commitment to timely and quality service delivery. The interactive session also provided an opportunity for customers and community leaders to share their views, ask questions, and contribute valuable feedback that will support continuous service improvement.

KADSWAC has sustained its Young Water Professionals (YWP) initiative, a platform established in 2022 to empower and connect emerging professionals within the water sector.
